Manor Farm House
Welcome to presence
Manor Farm House is home to Harriet and her herd of horses, and its dedicated purpose is currently an intimate retreat centre.
The house was built in 1625, and Harriet has renovated it to a high standard while retaining its heart and soul. Originally it was the home of a civil war revolutionary, and to Isabella Hacker who was one of the first Quakers, and unusually for her time, had a voice that was heard and which had influence.
It is an inspiring place to take time out, whether for a group retreat or one specially tailored to your needs for an individual retreat. We have several group rooms and an extensive library and three stylish, spacious bedrooms for our groups, which enable an intimate atmosphere.
Manor Farm House is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Colston Bassett, nestled on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir. We are well served by Grantham train station, which is approximately one hour from Kings Cross.
We grow many of our own vegetables and our orchard provides bountiful apples and pears, while our hens cluck around the garden. The horses are kept as naturally as possible, on the six acres of pasture.
